Curriculum:
Level 1: Introduction to Letters and Sounds Introduce the sounds that each letter makes. Teach children how to pronounce each letter. Practice saying words that start with each letter. Basic phonics rules and the use of vowels, will be introduced. Blending 2 sounds eg on, no etc.
Level 2: Basic Word Building Teach children how to combine letters to create simple CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words with vowels a, e, i, o, u. Introduce basic spelling rules and practice spelling and reading short words & sentences. Teach children about sight words, which are common words that are frequently used in the English language. Introduce the magical ‘e’ rule.
Level 3: Intermediate Word Building Teach children how to read and spell longer words with consonant digraph blends (ch, sh, th, wh). Introduce CVC words. Teach children about long vowel sounds (a-e, i-e, o-e, u-e).
 
Learning Outcome: Your child will be equipped to read & write simple sentences & paragraphs with 4-5 letter words independently & fluently.
 
Eligibility: The child should be comfortable with reading & writing a-z upper case and lower case letters

Curriculum:
Level 4: Advanced Word Building Teach children how to read and spell more complex words with vowel digraph blends (ai, ay, ea, ee, ie, oa, oe, ue, ui). Introduce diphthongs (ow, ou, oi, oy) and teach children how to read and spell words with these sounds. Teach children about silent letters and how they affect pronunciation and spelling.
Level 5: Intermediate Reading & Writing
Teach children how to read simple sentences. Practice reading short stories with simple words and sentences.
Level 6: Advanced Reading and Writing
Teach children how to read longer stories with more complex words and sentences. Practice writing sentences and short paragraphs using correct spelling. Teach children about homophones (words that sound the same but have different meanings) and homographs (words that are spelled the same but have different meanings).
 
Learning Outcome: Your child will be equipped to become an independent English reader & writer.
 
Eligibility: The child should be comfortable with sounds of letters, CVC words and two letter blending.
